The Performance

During the model airplane performance, the two pilots will stand next to each other with the support of their spotters and callers.  They will rocket their planes through 4000 ft of horizontal airspace flying to a maximum altitude of 1500 feet.

The main focus of the show will be to give the public a glimpse of the capabilities of modern high-performance aerobatic model aircraft.  The program will include a combination of precision maneuvers as well as freestyle maneuvers.    The precision makeup will include loops, rolls, figure 8’s, knife edge flight, immelmans, 4 and 8 point rolls, hammerheads,  split s’, snap rolls, square loops and other stunts designed to show geometry and control.

The high energy freestyle type maneuvers will include stunts designed to stress the airframes up to 8Gs and utilize the entire power curve of the engines.   They will include flat spins, knife edge spins, lomcevaks, tail slides, harrier passes, avalanches, pop-ups, waterfalls, blenders, and the eye catching torque rolls where the aircraft vertically hovers on pure propeller power.
